What a Wonderful YARNDALE Weekend
Well what a whirlwind of a weekend this has been!! We did our first show as exhibitors and it was at Yarndale!
We can't believe how much has happened since we started Wool is the Answer just over a year ago.
Our main springboard for getting to our first event has been meeting Iris at our initial knit and natter group who fell in love with our yarn and started designing her own patterns for use with our yarns. She has now set up her own website as a result. You can find all her patterns at Knitterish Designs. She is an amazing designer and has even encouraged us to design our own knitting patterns too!
We had no idea how we would be received at Yarndale, but WOW what a reception we had. We are overwhelmed by all of you who came to see our little cake stall, and it was wonderful to put names to faces.
We have so many people to thank for getting us show ready from my talented husband who made all our stall furniture to the fantastic ladies at our regular knit and natter groups who knitted items for us to display and gave us massive amounts of encouragement.
We especially need to thank our families for helping us on the day and for Angela and Cecile, two of our fabulous knit and natter ladies for the regular supply of hot drinks over the weekend!
We had a fantastic response from our current customers, new customers and even enquiries for collaborations!! Iris was completely bowled over by the amazing response to her knitting patterns.
We have managed to update our website and the shop is back online. We are currently busy dyeing for our next show at Bakewell in two weeks time!. If there is something that you are looking for in particular and it is out of stock, send us a message and we will see if we can fit it into our dyeing schedule!!
We also have limited numbers of our Advent Calendar available online so grab them quickly before we take them to Bakewell !!!
Here are a few Yarndale images for those of you who were not able to visit. The photos were taken from our amazing woolly friend Sarah the owner of Number 4, the fabulous wool shop in Lincoln!!
