You will require:
Yarn for both blankets 
7 x 100g DK different tonal solid yarn (75% Superwash Merino 25% Nylon DK yarn approx 1575m)
3 x 100g DK undyed yarn (75% Superwash Merino 25% Nylon DK  yarn approx 675m)
 
For the Knitted Blanket
4mm circular needle 120m long
 
For the Crochet Blanket (Intermediate skill level and in UK terms)
4mm Crochet Hook
23 stitch markers
